Since his examinations in 1966, Michael Kubik has been teaching at several music schools all over Berlin. Among his students are to be
found persons who took the profession as music teacher, too. During many decades, he conducted plucked string orchestras like
Teg'ler Zupforchester and Landeszupforchester Berlin, which he re‑established in 1973, also the well-known recorder choir
Blockflötenorchester Neukölln. For his orchestras he wrote compositions and arrangements, in particular for the combination plucked
string orchestra with recorder choir, but also chamber music and solo pieces for mandolin and guitar. He has been guest instructor at
Bundesakademy for musical Education of the Youth at Trossingen (South‑Germany), part‑time lecturer in guitar at College of Education in Berlin.
During nearly two decades he was the head of the plucked string faculty at Musikschule Reinickendorf, Berlin. Sometimes, he is writing articles
for some specialist journals.
